Kindergarten Readiness Assessment (KRA)

The Kindergarten Readiness Assessment (KRA) is a developmentally appropriate assessment designed to provide GREEN Charter Schools with a snapshot of each kindergarten student’s skills and abilities at the beginning of the school year. Understanding each child’s readiness helps our teachers identify individual strengths and areas for growth so they can provide instruction and support that meets students’ needs.

The KRA evaluates four key areas of development:

  • Social Foundations
  • Language and Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Physical Well-Being

The assessment provides valuable information for teachers, families, and GREEN Charter Schools as we work together to support a successful transition into the K–12 learning environment. The KRA must be completed for each kindergarten student within the first 45 days of school concluding on October 15th.

Please reach out to your child's K5 teacher for additional questions.
